Lyrics
She tells me all about her day; I dig for minor details
She says that’s not the point; I said “I’m curious to know”
So in between the lines I aim
It’s an old familiar game
One that I was born to play
I overanalyze every word she mumbles
I complicate our lives
Why do I scrutinize when I look into her eyes
Her motives might be pure
But I’m sure
She tells me all about her dreams, I said” you must be kidding me”
She said “I should have told you nothing.
You never understand me anyway
Or hear a single word I say
You’re lost a million miles away”
At least that’s what I think I heard her say
But then again
I Overanalyze every word she mumbles
I complicate our lives
Why do I scrutinize when I look into her eyes
Her motives might be pure
But I’m sure
She tells me all about myself and it isn’t pretty
How did I become so cold and irresponsible?
Maybe I can take a vow; maybe change myself somehow
Or maybe everything is good and I just misunderstood
Cause, I Overanalyze every word she mumbles
I complicate our lives
Why do I scrutinize when I look into her eyes
Her motives might be pure
But I’m sure she lies
